The RTOP Protocol is build around 3 core principles:
​Intra-chain: Payers deposit directly in the payee's account, after which funds never leave the control of the payee. Money is never transferred or owned by the protocol, bridges, DEXes, etc. The entire protocol is designed around a simple vanilla but very secure blockchain deposit.
Use of an optimistic strategy that allows Web3 paylinks to work at Web2 speed. 
Binding the payment together with the payment context using a receipt, or invoice
